Standard Bots is a New York-based manufacturer of six-axis robot arms that are designed and assembled in the United States, with motor and drive systems built in Glen Cove, NY. For buyers, the interesting part is not the marketing — it is that Standard Bots publishes a list price on its own product pages. In a category where most vendors answer "how much?" with a quote form, that alone makes the brand worth a serious look.

Spark is positioned for light-duty work in tight spaces. Core is the volume product — the arm the company markets for machine tending, palletizing, pick-and-place and light welding. Thor is the long-reach, heavy-payload option for palletizing and heavier applications. Bolt, a configurable bimanual droid with stationary, mobile and vertical-lift options, is still in beta and carries no public number.
One caveat worth stating plainly: Standard Bots' own site is not perfectly consistent. The Core product page lists "Starting at $37,000" and the comparison table says "$37k list," while one section of the homepage lists Core at $39,500. Treat $37,000 as the headline figure and confirm the current configuration price in writing.
That $37,000 figure does hold up outside the vendor's own site. Industrial dealer Jones Kinden lists a new, build-to-order Standard Bots RO1 at $37,000.00 USD with 18 kg payload and ±0.025 mm repeatability — an independent listing that matches the manufacturer's published number rather than undercutting or inflating it.
What the price includes
Standard Bots sells on both a lease and a purchase basis, which is unusual at this end of the market. Per the company's comparison page, repairs, training and support are included in the lease, and one year is included with a purchase. Warranty coverage is whole-arm replacement rather than component-level repair, and the arm ships factory calibrated with a 3D camera available at the wrist.
The published price is for the arm and its software. It does not include grippers, tooling, fixturing, safety assessment, or the labor to integrate the cell — the costs that typically dominate a first deployment. Our 5-year total cost of ownership model puts hardware at roughly a quarter of the five-year spend on a mid-size arm, so budget accordingly.
How it compares — and who is doing the comparing
Standard Bots' comparison pages claim a Fanuc CRX-10iA/L runs "$44k+" and a Universal Robots UR10e "$47k+," plus roughly $7,000 a year for repairs, training and support. A second table on the same site raises both to "$50k+." These are the vendor's own numbers about its competitors, they are internally inconsistent, and they should be treated as marketing rather than as market data. Verify against a real quote from those brands.
What is verifiable from Standard Bots' own published specs: Core offers 18 kg payload against the UR10e's 12.5 kg at the same 1.3 m reach, with tighter stated repeatability (±0.025 mm vs ±0.05 mm) and a built-in 3D camera. If those specs hold in your application, the price-per-capability argument is real even without accepting the competitor figures.
Company context for procurement risk
Supplier stability matters when you are buying a robot you expect to run for a decade. Standard Bots raised a $200 million Series C in June 2026 at a $1 billion valuation, led by RoboStrategy with existing investor General Catalyst, and is expanding its Glen Cove facility to 70,000 square feet. For US buyers weighing tariff exposure and lead times on imported arms, domestic assembly is a genuine variable — not just a slogan.
