Kress sells robotic mowers in two very different worlds: quarter-acre machines that compete with Husqvarna and Segway, and fairway mowers that compete with a crew. We read the manufacturer's own US price page, plus the public product feeds of two authorised US dealers, on 14 August 2026 and put the three side by side. Both dealer stores confirmed USD on their cart endpoints.
The short version: at the top of the range all three agree to the cent. At the bottom, the same mower is offered at prices 40-50% apart on the same day.
The 2026 price ladder

The Kress figures come from the manufacturer's US robotic-mower page, which was running a promotion through 31 August 2026 that also bundles a mapping cart the same site values at $699.99. The EyePilot 4x4 line sits alongside the RTKⁿ line at both dealers: KR282 $2,999.99, KR284 $3,599.99, KR286 $4,299.99.
The same mower, three prices
Dealer B matched the manufacturer's current price to the cent on all eight RTKⁿ models. Dealer A matched only from the KR236 up. On the five models below that, Dealer A sat between the manufacturer's old price and its current one:
- KR161: $2,099.99 vs $1,499.99 — +40.0%
- KR172: $2,499.99 vs $1,699.99 — +47.1%
- KR173: $2,999.99 vs $1,999.99 — +50.0%
- KR174: $3,499.99 vs $2,699.99 — +29.6%
- KR233: $8,499.99 vs $5,999.99 — +41.7%
Nothing here suggests either dealer is doing anything improper — a promotion has to propagate, and dealers set their own retail prices. But it does mean that on 14 August 2026 the cheapest published Kress price and the most expensive published Kress price for the same SKU were 50% apart, and the manufacturer's own page was the cheaper of the two. Check kress.com before you check a dealer, not after.
Also note the discount is concentrated at the small end: 45-47% off the listed original on the KR161-KR173, 34.8% on the KR233, and only 4.5-4.8% on the KR236, KR236S and KR237. The commercial machines barely move.
Price per acre of rated coverage
Using the manufacturer's current prices and its own recommended coverage:

The curve falls by two-thirds between a quarter-acre and one acre and then goes flat: from 3 acres to 20 acres — a 6.7x range of area — every model lands between $2,000 and $2,383 per rated acre. If you are buying above an acre, the model choice is about cut quality, deck width and duty cycle, not about getting a better rate per acre. The commercial end
The KR238 MasterSeries at $39,999.00 is a fairway mower: 24.4-inch cut, 15 blades, dual floating deck, electric height adjustment, rated at up to 20 acres every 48 hours. The KR800 Voyager at $59,999.00 is a 40-inch machine rated for 5-7 acres per charge, 7-8 hours of continuous runtime and a service life the listing puts at 5,000 hours. A 60-inch KR804 is listed as "Coming 2026" with no price.
One number worth carrying: per inch of cutting width, the KR238 is $1,639 and the Voyager is $1,500 — within 9% of each other, and roughly 1.6x the $1,001 per inch of the 13.78-inch KR236. Deck width is the thing you are actually paying for at the top of this range.
What you add on top
Blades and accessories are cheap; power is not. Replacement blade sets (240 blades plus screws) run $319.99, a 12-blade pack $22.99, the ball-pushing attachment for driving ranges $299.00, a weather shelter $799.99, the RTK mapping trolley $699.99 and the larger mapping cart $999.99. But the commercial battery ecosystem is priced like equipment: 60V packs from $369.99 to $1,599.99, and portable power stations at $10,499.99 (5 kWh) and $13,999.99 (7.2 kWh) — the bigger one costs about the same as a 6-acre mower.
Before you buy
- Check the manufacturer's page for the current promotion. It was the lowest published price on five of eight models the day we looked.
- Read the coverage rating twice. Kress quotes both a recommended and a maximum figure (6 vs 9 acres on the KR236; 7 vs 10.5 on the KR237), and the two dealers do not always agree with each other: the top EyePilot 4x4 is titled 2.5 acres at one dealer, 1.5 acres at the other — and that dealer's own URL for the listing says 1.5. - Price the install, not the mower. RTKⁿ removes the perimeter wire, which is where the labour used to be — but mapping carts, garages and spare batteries are real line items.
- For anything above 3 acres, compare on deck width and duty cycle, because the price per acre stops separating the models.
