Sorting systems are quoted against an input stream and a destination rule. Decide whether the system sorts parcels, reusable containers, recyclables or manufactured components. Size variation, uncertain identification and full destination bins should be described before vendors propose a throughput figure. This is an editorial procurement worksheet, not a supplier offer or a tested performance claim. Earlier unsupported figures have been removed.

Provide damaged labels or borderline visual samples. Agree when an item should go to an exception lane rather than forcing a confident but incorrect destination.
Include a full bin and an unavailable chute in the acceptance sequence. Quote buffering and operator collection responsibilities so nominal robot motion does not hide downstream stoppages.
Record correct destinations, damage and unclassified items for the same input mix. A faster system that silently misroutes items should not pass a test based only on total movements.
