Include setup and movement between work areas rather than comparing only an uninterrupted demonstration. Provide uneven floors, openings, overhead obstructions and access restrictions in the site brief. Ask which preparatory work must be completed before the robot can operate and who is responsible for it.
Use the intended material and preparation method in a supervised trial. Record changes in substrate, geometry or supply that need manual intervention. Quote handling, cleanup and waste disposal as part of the process.
Define completed work using the project’s approved inspection method. Count rework, edges and hand-finished areas rather than inferring overall project savings from the robot’s application speed.
