The Lely Juno is the most common robot in the dairy industry that most people outside it have never heard of. It is a squat, weighted drum that drives along the feed fence at intervals and pushes forage back within reach of the cows. Lely says more than 13,000 have been installed. Lely also does not publish a price for one, and neither does any US dealer we could find. The used market does, and it is specific enough to buy from.

That matters because almost everything on the second-hand market today is a 2011-2018 machine — a Juno 150 or a J1 — and the two newest models are a different product. The Juno Max navigates freely using a stereo camera and laser scanner rather than following the feed fence, handles slopes up to 20%, and moves between barns on its own. If your quote is for a Juno Max, none of the used numbers below apply to it.

The refurbished lot is the most useful line in this table because it prices the same machine four ways. A single unit is $15,000; take four and it is $12,000 — a 20% quantity break, which is exactly the same discount the used milking-robot market gives on a four-robot lot. That is a useful thing to know before you negotiate: on dairy robots, volume moves price by about a fifth, not by half.
The Joz Moov 2.0 at $17,500 used is the outlier worth pausing on. It is a competing Dutch feed pusher, sold used at a higher price than a refurbished Juno of similar vintage. Thinner supply explains part of it — three units against thirteen — but if you are shopping on price alone, the deeper Juno market is where the leverage is.
One caveat on the auction line: the lot carried a $15,000 buy-it-now against a $5,000 opening bid, and the archived page shows bidding closed at the opening figure. We could not confirm whether it sold or the reserve simply went unmet, so read the $15,000 as an asking price, not a clearing price.
What it costs to keep running
Feed pushers are battery machines that run several passes a day, so consumables matter more than they do on a milking box. A European parts specialist lists a replacement Lely Juno battery charger at €405.00 and a Lely Vector charger at €306.08; the same catalogue prices Lely Discovery barn-cleaner parts from a €60.45 heavy-duty chain up to a €1,903.77 drive motor. Those are euro prices from a European seller and will not be your landed US cost, but they set the order of magnitude: wear parts on this class of machine are hundreds of dollars, and the drive train is low thousands, not tens of thousands.
The refurbished lot above is instructive here too. What the seller upgraded was wheel and hub assemblies plus software — which tells you where a Juno wears out.
Buying advice
Ask what generation it is, not just what year. A 2018 unit is a J1. Parts and software support track the generation, and on the milking side of Lely's range we have seen a model line's parts supply end outright — the reason a retired robot can be worth a twentieth of a current one, as our used milking robot resale analysis shows.
Buy the lot if you have more than one barn. The 20% break at four units is the single largest discount available in this category, and feed pushers are one-per-alley machines, so multi-barn farms hit that threshold easily.
Confirm the charging station is included. Both listings above specify it — the Juno lot says "each comes with the power supply system," the Joz lot says "each unit comes with its own charging pad." A machine without its dock is not a working machine.
Do not extrapolate to new. Every number here is second-hand. If you want a Juno J2 or a Juno Max, you are getting a dealer quote, and we would treat any published "new Juno price" you find online as invented until a dealer puts it in writing.
