Every agricultural drone in the US is sold twice: once as a bare aircraft and once as a "package." The package always costs about 50–60% more, and no dealer itemises it. On 8 August 2026 we pulled the full public catalogues of four US spray-drone dealers — 2,510, 1,786, 250 and 254 listings — and reconstructed what the package actually contains, line by line, using the same dealers' own spare-parts prices.
The answer decomposes to the cent.
The J100 package is three batteries and a charger, at list
Two of the four dealers reproduce the manufacturer's reference pair in their own product copy: the EAVision J100 starts at $19,999 bare, and the Base Package comes for $31,995.00. One of them lists the bare aircraft at exactly $19,999 with an add-to-cart button. Both spell out the contents: one J100 with remote and 45 L tank, three Intelligent Flight Batteries, and one charger/cooling station.
Now price those parts from the same dealers' parts catalogues:

That is the package price exactly. No bundle discount, no bundle markup — the package is the aircraft plus consumables at full catalogue list. The premium is +60.0%, and 75.0% of it is batteries.
The same arithmetic identifies a machine nobody prices
The J150 is the interesting case, because the two dealers who sell it do not agree on what "Basic Package" means. One defines it as drone + one battery + charger and lists it at $32,497. The other defines it as drone + three batteries + charger and lists it at $40,495.
The gap is $7,998. The J150 Flight Battery is $3,999 at both dealers. Two batteries: $7,998. Exact.
Back out the parts from either listing and you get the same implied bare aircraft:
- $32,497 − $3,999 − $2,999 = $25,499
- $40,495 − (3 × $3,999) − $2,999 = $25,499
Two dealers, two different package definitions, one identical bare-machine price that neither of them publishes. Applying the same method to the J70 Basic Package ($26,995, three 29,000 mAh batteries at $2,499 plus the $2,999 charger) implies a bare J70 of $16,499.
This closes a question we left open. Our 7 August dealer comparison flagged a 24.6% spread on the J150 across dealers and warned it was "probably partly a bare-versus-package configuration difference." It was entirely that. The two dealers are not pricing the same drone differently; they are selling different numbers of batteries under the same word.

The premium is remarkably stable at 58.8–63.6% across three aircraft — because it is not a pricing decision at all. It is a parts list.
Where the listed prices drift from the reference
The $19,999 / $31,995 pair is the manufacturer's reference; the shelf prices sit above it. One dealer lists the bare J100 at $21,999 (+$2,000) and the package at $32,995 (+$1,000). Another lists the package at $33,995 (+$2,000) while its own body copy still says $31,995 — and separately discloses that "every drone will include a $1,000 tariff fee until further notice."
This slightly revises our own 5 August figure. We reported the package as 50.0% above the bare machine, comparing one dealer's $32,995 package against another's $21,999 bare. Against the manufacturer's own pair the premium is 60.0%, and the earlier number was diluted by a marked-up bare listing.
The consumables, benchmarked
The J100 battery is 29 Ah at 52.2 V — 1.514 kWh — for $2,999, or $1,981/kWh. The V2 cell at $2,499 works out to $1,651/kWh. On the same shelf, DJI's Agras DB1560 pack (1.560 kWh) is $2,449, or $1,570/kWh.
So the Chinese challenger brand charges 22.5% more than DJI for a battery of the same energy — and 114.4% more for the charger ($2,999 vs DJI's $1,399 C8000 station). This is the third dataset in which we have found EAVision more expensive than DJI on both the machine and its consumables; "challenger brand, cheaper" does not hold here.
One more consistency check: the same dealer sells a refurbished DJI T40/T50 battery at $1,899 against $2,449 new — a 22.5% discount. That is within a point of the 20.1% median we measured on refurbished Universal Robots joints in August. Two unrelated robot categories, two unrelated channels, refurbished consumables land about a fifth below new.
What this means if you are buying
- Never compare a "package" to a "package." Back out the batteries first; the word means different things at different dealers.
- The negotiable part is small. Between the cheapest and dearest listing of the same bare J100 there is $2,000. Between three batteries and one there is $8,997 to $11,997.
- Budget the second set of batteries as capex, not spares. They are already 45.0% of the aircraft price in the first package.
Limitations
Single-day catalogue prices from four dealers. The bare J150 and J70 prices are inferred, not listed — the arithmetic is exact and agrees across two independent listings for the J150, but neither dealer publishes those numbers. Package contents are the dealers' own descriptions, not a manufacturer bill of materials; we have not confirmed that no small accessories are also included, which would make the implied bare prices slightly low. Cross-brand battery comparison is by energy content, not by interchangeability.
